Microfilm is used to record computer output information as microscopic filmed images.
The information that can be printed on a page of paper can be reduced in size 48 or more time and recorded on a sheet or roll of microfilm.
A 4-by-6 inch sheet of film is called microfiche. A typical microfiche reproduces upto 270page-sized images.
