Windows explorer is more advanced than file manager. The explorer provides a consistent mechanism for file, folder, printer and network operations and provide a hierarchial view of all the resources of computer.
Actually it is the main tool for viewing the files and folders on hard disk. Some explorers had some kind of after market inline fuse put inside the door, after some kind of recall. check the recalls on 1994 and see if it list the fuse.
