Conductors are materials which offers least resistance to the flow of electric current and the insulators are materials which offer high resistance to flow of current.
The resistance of conductor increases with the increase in temperature and the insulators loose their insulating power with the increase in temperature and some may even become good conductor if they are strongly heated. Insulators are effected by the moisture which offen converts the insulators into poor conductor and poor conductors ito medium conductors.
